Snipe Fleet 231 at the Quassapaug Sailing Center host three regional regattas during the summer. Our events embody the Snipe saying "Serious Sailing, Serious Fun". Our venues are very very family friendly. Most of the teams in our regattas are family members sailing together.
Quassy regattas are so much more than just sailing: swimming, paddling, hanging out, eating, dancing, and camping. A very relaxed and fun weekend. Just ask anyone who has been to a Quassy event.

Whittemore St. John Regatta
The WstJ is our June regatta. A melow afair to welcome summer. Not to say that the racing is mellow, but Quassy has a very special vibe. After Dinner the atmosphere is usually chill and relaxed.

The BoG is our end of summer blow out event. Dinner this year is Barbeque. After dinner, we dance into the night with a DJ.

The Quassapaug Team Racing Intergalatic Championship in Snipes - Q-TRICkS

Snipe Fleet 231 and the Quassapaug Sailing Center is hosting a fun Team Racing event. No team racing experience is required to participate. Our goal is to expose folks to Team Racing by giving them a chance to try Team Racing. The atmosphere will be very relaxed, Quassapaug style.
The event will be run in two sections. The first will be more of an intro to team racing. We will be selecting teams at the event, and attempting to give everyone who would like, a chance to skipper. Efforts will be made to have folks of similar experience levels racing against one another. Lopsided Team Races are not much fun. All Competitors will be asked to take a turn at helping with the Race Committee as part of the rotation. More experienced team racers will be selected as crews (or tacticians) for this section.
The second part will be for more experienced team racers, and folks can show up as already formed teams for this part, although we will also be forming teams that morning too. Less experienced team racers will be encouraged to crew, spectate, and be RC for this part of the event. All teams will take a turn at being RC.
